THE OFFICIAL JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE AFCMOA’S “INTERNATIONAL ECUMENICAL EMISSARY”
The basic and most important duty of the International Ecumenical Emissary is to represent the best interests of the AFCMOA both in the Continental United States and abroad to foreign governments and the international church community.
The Emissary is the official Envoy and Voice of His Beautitude, Cardinal Charles Hill, Patriarch of AFCMOA and the AFCMOA Patriarchal Council to promote Christian unity throughout the world (Convergence); to establish Communion (Inter and Full) Agreements; to interact on behalf of the AFCMOA communion and ministries worldwide; and last, the Emissary is responsible for relaying policy stances and decisions to international church organizations/governments that the AFCMOA is associated.
Most important, the Emissary must follow AFCMOA policy established by HIS BEAUTITUDE Cardinal Charles R. Hill,Sr., PhD and the Patriarchal Council at all times, even if the Emissary disagrees with a given position on a personal level.
